An iconic, collectable and very rare bag from the Chanel 2002 summer capsule collection simply called the Surf Line. Designed by Karl Lagerfeld, this version of a Chanel 2.55 bag is a must have for any Chanel collector. All of the wide ranging pieces from the Surf Line featured a pop-art style graphic print of a red CC logo surfing the crest of a breaking ocean wave. This bag is made of quilted canvas, in the classic 2.55 shape with vibrant tones of blue and white, which are boldly contrasted by the red Chanel markings throughout. Matte silver tone chain, interlocking CC twist lock and zipper. Unlike the classic 2.55 bag, this has a single flap front with a zipper closure. Red rubber zipper pull. White grosgrain interior with 2 open slit pockets. Can be worn with the chain handle double, or long on the shoulder or cross body (when wearing crossbody, this bag sits quite high around the stomach, rather than at the hip). Made in France. Very good vintage condition - a few places of light staining, please refer to photos. Sold with Chanel authenticity card.
